Hey everyone! Quick update:
If you've ever tried to do a custom animated Jquery drop down menu, you might have noticed that there are some quirks you can run into. One of them being that if you quickly flip between two different drop downs, the animation won't complete, and can sometimes get left stuck on, or affect the way the page displays.
The solution is simple for your broken Jquery drop down animations:
.hide(false,true);
What's that you may ask? Well, it's a Jquery function for stopping animations. It has two boolean (true or false variable) paramaters, the first requesting if it should remove all animations in the animation Queue, and in most cases this won't be necessary. The second is IMPORTANT! The second parameter is for determining if the animation should jump all the way to the end before it completes, or simply stop where it is. Given the way animations in Jquery work, you NEED to jump to the end. If you don't, when the item goes to render again it's width will be wonky, or other issues may occur.
