Trying to remove the stock input button styling in IE7 and add your own custom background image? Well, you may have noticed that the usual text-indent:-9999px doesn't work in IE.
What's the work around?
Well, it's simple, it doesn't have any logical reasoning behind why it works... and because of that, it's a shining example of why IE7 is miserable!
Simply add the following:
input.button { text-indent: -9000px; text-transform: capitalize; }
That's right. Text indent by itself isn't enough in IE7, for some reason you have to capitalize the text for this to work. IE7 --> The life of the party.
