Hello there advanced drupal themers!
If you're like me at all, you build out your clients sites in a dev location. Sometimes this can lead to path issues when migrating to the live server, which is a heck of a headache. There's a variety of ways aroud this, and the main one is having $base_url placed inside of your paths to help smooth over the transition.
In drupal six however, getting that $base_url is a pain in the butt. It's there, you input it into settings.php, so why can't you use it?
It's simple, you just need to make the global variable available. So at the start of the php file you're working on, simply declare: global $base_url;
There you are! Enjoy, and expect more from me in the upcoming months as I'm going to keep updating this blog!
